Rainbow Poems

 We have been learning about similes for the last few weeks in writing. We are very proud of our simile poems all about the colours of the rainbow.

Hard at Work

 We have been working very hard in literacy at the moment.

St John Visit

This week we had Rachel from St John visit our school. She taught us how to recognise when a situation is dangerous and what we could do to make them safe. We also looked at a range of things to see if they were safe or unsafe to eat or drink. 

Firewise Lesson 1

Today we had our first lesson with Fireman Zac from the local fire station. 

He told us a great story about Maui's discovery of fire.

He also showed us some pictures and we had to discuss whether it looked like a safe or unsafe environment. 

We cant wait to learn more with him next week!

Start of Term 2

 We have had a busy start to the term. 

Here are some of the great things we have been getting up to. 

Architects for the day

 We read a book called Puffin the Architect by Kimberly Andrews and really wanted to try out being architects ourselves. We created our own dream home and wrote about what we added to them. 

School Athletic

 Here are some photos of us competing in the different events at athletics this year.

Our Play - The Hole in the King's Sock

We have been reading the book The Hole in the King's Sock as our shared reading book. For our activity, we decided to retell the story by acting it out. 

We chose our characters, wrote the script and practised lots and lots. 

We were very excited to share our play in assembly on Friday and thought it would be nice to share it on our blog as well.

Day In The Life!

 

Fitness - Go Noodle

 For fitness, we love to have a groove and boogie with Go Noodle. Our favourites are Side Hustle, Danger Force and Melting.

Flower Patterns

In maths, we have been learning about patterns. Yesterday we made some flowers with an alternating pattern using 2 different colours. 

We have put our beautiful flowers in the window so that they can be seen from the inside and the outside of the classroom.
